Owner of tax service charged with filing a false tax return – FOX13 News Memphis



MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The former owner of Simple Tax Solutions was sentenced to 15 months for filing a false federal income tax return.

According to information presented in court, Henly Dolmon, Jr. failed to report most of the income he earned from Simple Tax Solutions on his 2012 federal income tax return.

Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph C. Murphy, Jr., announced the sentence Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Mark Norris sentenced Dolmon on March 10.

He will also be required to pay $124,000 in restitution to the IRS.

Dolmon was ordered to serve 8 months in federal prison to be followed by 7 months of home detention. He will also serve 1 year of supervised release after his in-custody sentence.

There is no parole in the federal system.
